Afrinspire is supports the technological development of ordinary people. We are dedicated to sending PC's to Africa.
How many PC's have we sent?
Although Afrinspire was registered as a charity only recently we first sent computers to Uganda in 1998. Since then we have sent around 450 PC's to Africa.

Where do they all come from?
All of the PC's we send are donated to us by individuals or companies. Articles in local newspapers can result in dozens of computers arriving with us to be sent.
Although all of the PC's are donated to us there are still costs involved. Initial costs include refurbishing the PC's ready for their new life abroad, however the major cost is the transportation of the PC's. As a charity we are able to get reasonable rates for shipping and we often co-operate with other organisations, sharing space where possible allowing us to gain discounts for larger volumes.
