An Opportunity Summer 2012:
Afrinspire Field Visit to Africa
If you would like to see a variety of indigenous grass roots development projects in Africa, then this field visit to Uganda to see the work of Afrinspire partners is for you. You would gain first-hand experience of the rural African context, and some understanding of the issues of poverty and how indigenous initiatives such as women’s adult literacy, self-help groups, water harvesting and technology transfer are catalysts to development. You will be in contact with expert development practitioners. This visit is ideal for those with an interest in international development who want exposure to the African situation.
Dates: 23rd June to 17th July 2012 Immediately after the end of May ball week, for three weeks.
Cost: Approximately £1,400 to £1,500. This estimate includes the air-fare, vaccinations, anti-malarials, accommodation, food, vehicle hire and fuel, and is an attempt to be an all-inclusive cost.
